Overview

Isilon provides following options to manage user permissions for shares

     Active Directory

     LDAP

     NIS

     Local Provider

     File Provider

 

and exports

     Client IP Address access control

     Restrict access to read-only

     Enable mount access to subdirectories

     User Mapping

 

Eyeglass configuration replication synchronizes the share and export user permission related configuration information with some pre-requisites and exceptions as described in subsequent sections.
